A great place to start your search for a good standard ESL lesson. All age ranges and abilities are considered in this one stop spot for ESL resources. A particular favourite for business lessons.

A straight-forward site that gives you thousands of multi-level lesson plans. Topical and full of activities the simple formatting belies the quality of the lessons.

A complete site providing resources for teachers and students. The site addresses various topics and provides some excellent complete lessons for you to consider teaching.

With some top authors and ELT publishing company Macmillan behind it, onestopenglish is one of the better resource sites available. Free lessons are plenty, but the recommendation is you subscribe and get your hands on the best the modern ESL teachers have to offer.

This site provides a number of free lessons and ideas that can easily be adapted or included in part of your coursework. Good advice and detailed lesson plans make this a good ESL resource.

The journal is a provider of a multitude of lesson plans, games and activities, teaching advice and all thing ESL. With so many resources available, it’s a wonder that we need anything else.

As you would expect, the BBC has a vast array of quality activities, games, and lesson ideas that rival any other website. Plus, it constantly delivers excellent articles which, with a little work, make superb lesson content.

One of the most prolific authors of online lesson sharing, the originator of the eflclassroom has thousands of lesson ideas and classroom solutions. A great place to share your ideas and communicate with your peers.

Online courses and ideas for lessons for all abilities are found on esolcourses.com. From wordsearches to business lectures you can find excellent resources for your teaching.

One of the most respected bloggers on ELT circuit, the englishraven website is full of lesson plans, activities and solutions to everyday teaching. A site 'built by a teacher for teachers.'

A British Council website holding perhaps the biggest library of lesson plans and activities, from general English to a whole range of ESP. Register to the site to take full advantage of what it has to offer.

A great discussion site which produces materials for teaching language for the U.S. government. It serves schools, teachers, libraries, and over 4 million users of English.
